It is no secret that Netflix Games is looking to expand, and alongside that, a report from The Wall Street Journal regards the streaming company to be trying its luck to acquire and distribute a Grand Theft Auto game. As per the sources, Netflix is appealing to third-party publishers including Take-Two Interactive now, with the company eyeing the renowned action RPG sandbox, GTA.

Reports claim that it is unknown if Netflix is looking to add an existing GTA game to its streaming platform or co-develop a new title that would center on the franchise.

ComicBook Gaming regarded that this possible arrival of GTA could help bolster Netflix Games' fame and usage among subscribers, as at present, it is struggling to get attention from the public.

Netflix Games and Its Offers

Netflix Games may be small and unnoticed for now, but the company is building it up to be the next streaming destination that will allow users to experience gaming on any device, not only for the mobile. In this new offer, Netflix aims to deliver a cloud-streaming service for its Games, one where subscribers may play it via web browsers or televisions, now under testing in Canada and the U.K.

This was reinforced by Netflix's earlier app release of the "Netflix Game Controller" which was made available to the Apple App Store, meant for the iPhones to connect to the cloud gaming device.

As the company adds as many as 40 games to access on its current service, its incorporation of hit shows to interactive play opens more opportunities for all to enjoy.

Netflix Games started with a limited library which mostly focused on Stranger Things apps that were already made available via app stores from Apple and Google. However, that is soon to change as the cloud streaming is coming, alongside its plans to acquire the rights to re-distribute a Grand Theft Auto game to its platform, seeking out Take-Two Interactive now.
