Atari revealed in its latest release that it is buying the company called Digital Eclipse, and regarded it as a game studio that dedicated itself to the digital restoration of classic video games since 1992. This follows the earlier acquisition by the company of Nightdive Studios, adding Digital Eclipse to its helping hands in expanding more of its "retro-focused growth strategy."

"Digital Eclipse is the best in the world at what they do. Atari and Digital Eclipse

The famed American console and video games developer, Atari, has been making a name for itself in the present, particularly with the different revamps of its classic devices meant to resurrect retro titles for all. One of the most iconic releases of Atari was the VCS back in 2021, and it offered all the renowned cloud gaming services for all including NVIDIA GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, PlayStation Now, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and more.

On the other hand, there is the famed restoration and remaster company, Digital Eclipse, which made a name for itself in its many developments of retro games to bring back in this modern age. One of its most iconic developments was the 16-bit Alladin and The Lion King titles that were made available again for modern PCs and consoles after several decades.

Atari's return to the mainstream audience with the retro experience for modern times is here, and its acquisition of Digital Eclipse will pave the way for more to expect in the future. With this purchase, Atari is expected to bring more games to make its return from the early days, with the retro titles coming soon from both companies moving forward.
