The company recently introduced the Doritos Silent software, a new development powered by AI to bring "crunch cancellation" for when you are enjoying your bag of chips while playing with teammates.

Not only can eating chips be heard by your entire team or opponents who have the sound on, but it could also distract some when playing, being a taboo experience for some.

Doritos announced its new AI-powered software that centers on improving gaming and communications for online matches that has its users miced up, with Doritos Silent looking to change the experience. Through this new software, online gamers who love to eat crispy snacks like corn tortilla chips (Doritos) and others may be saved the trouble of bugging their teammates with the loud crunch in every bite.

The company calls its new AI a 'crunch cancellation' technology that will allow PC gamers to remove the loud sound of chips getting devoured.

In their study, 46 percent of gamers in the UK do not want to hear other gamers eating, and in the US, 30 percent of gamers claim that they are distracted by the crunching sounds.

Microsoft's Windows Get the Doritos Silent Software

This new software is available for free via Doritos Silent's website, offering a downloadable program that users may launch when playing their games and connected via mics. It is only available for the Windows PC, requiring at least Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, 200 MB of storage, and 4GB of memory to run this program whenever playing online.
