"Elon Musk's X reportedly now features the newest artificial intelligence chatbot 'Grok' to selected users on the platform. The billionaire boasts of a chatbot that can help users answer often AI-rejected spicy questions, including how to make cocaine.

As per the report, Elon Musk claims that the newest chatbot not only answers questions and provides criminal advice but also has sarcastic qualities and humor.

BBC reports, however, that the chatbot, based on early signs, still suffers from joint problems like other artificial intelligence tools.

'Grok' also features, as per a different post, a more current and updated information database compared to "typical GPT," as it can retrieve information that was only made available a few days ago.

The post shows 'Grok' answering questions about the latest appearance of Elon Musk on Joe Rogan's podcast, which was only on October 31. It was also able to answer a question about Joe Rogan's outfit during the episode.

'Grok' on the post compared to the "typical GPT" had a more current and updated answer as the other AI chatbot answered with a more general and ultimately wrong answer for the question, "what did joe rogan wear in his latest interview?"

'Grok,' as per a shared post by Musk, can also give more vulgar responses when prompted by users, referencing sexual relationships and the like.

'Grok' Announcement

As per the official announcement page, "Grok is an AI modeled after the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so intended to answer almost anything and, far harder, even suggest what questions to ask!" Grok is also described as an AI chat model as a "very early beta product" that was the best the xAI team could do in 2 months of training.

Grok's AI team said that in creating and improving 'Grok,' they aim to get input to make sure AI technologies are being developed that will benefit mankind as a whole, one that helps individuals from all backgrounds and political perspectives.

The team also aims to empower users with AI technologies, but it clarified that it will remain subject to legislation.

Future Updates for 'Grok'

'Grok's' team also announced its aim to make the AI chatbot "a powerful research assistant" that can quickly access "relevant information, process data, and come up with new ideas."

'Grok' was still clarified as a chatbot that can provide and "generate false or contradictory information." Still, the team believes that "reliable reasoning is the most important research direction to address the limitations of current systems."

To maintain this "reliable reasoning," the team promised to ask for human feedback when necessary. To "integrate formal verification for safety, reliability, and grounding" and to give 'Grok' multimodal capabilities "such as vision and audio" in the future.

'Grok' is now available to limited users in the United States. It is meant to retrieve valuable feedback from its early users, helping 'Grok' improve its capabilities before a wider release. The announcement page, however, notified verified users that they may join the 'Grok' waitlist for xAI's early access program.
