Dune: Part Two Crossover: What to Expect

Last Halloween, Call of Duty unveiled the arrival of the Sardaukar, the ruthless warriors/soldiers from the Dune world, and this is the first crossover of the game with the renowned franchise.

Soon, gamers will get the chance to purchase Dune Bundles this Season 1 on MW3 and Warzone, leveraging the war between House Atreides and House Harkonnen in the game.

Call of Duty and Dune Franchises

Modern Warfare 3 effectively ties up the trilogy of the original MW series, with these modern remakes offering a significant dive into the world of Call of Duty, with Activision Blizzard promising new experiences. Despite being a remake, the game offers new features for all, including maps, operators, and weapons, also with its new round of crossover content in its different seasons.

On the other hand, Dune has been a renowned media franchise, starting as a novel series by Frank Herbert and getting adopted into films, initially from the 1990s, and the most recent in 2021 from Denis Villeneuve. It has seen games before, but there are no current plans for its modern adaptation that will greatly improve the graphics and experiences of its massive world.

The closest Dune fans get to see the franchise in games are crossovers, and fortunately, Activision Blizzard, Infinity Ward, and Sledgehammer Games have secured their characters to arrive in Call of Duty. Modern Warfare 3 will soon see the face-off between Paul Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, featuring the story's main hero and villain, representing their Houses as operators.
