First off, there is the new Video Notes feature where users may upload a two-second clip as part of their short status updates, also allowing users to caption it like regular Notes. Video Notes would only be available for 24 hours and it would only be available for mutuals to see the posted clip or accounts that follow you.

Instagram's Latest Features for the App

Meta's Instagram has improved significantly in this year alone, with massive features made available for all the users, offering different improvements for the app. One of the most useful additions available now is the global availability of the Reels download feature that offers more to users in saving the vertical media in-app, but has it available to their libraries as well.

Additionally, the company also improved on Instagram's selective feature, a.k.a. the Close Friends, not only for the Stories but also for posts on the main page. Instead of showing off feed posts to all of your followers on the app, users may already select their chosen group of Close Friends who share a similar list to stories, getting control over who may view their recent uploads.

It was not only Instagram features that was introduced this year, as Meta also expanded the experience when it brought the text-centered app, Threads, best known to be under the app.

Notes were introduced last year December to the world, and a year later, it expanded its features to offer multimedia experiences here instead of providing short updates above the DMs.
