Venturing the Nintendo Switch's eShop can sometimes be tricky, and this is because of the "spam" experience that users are reporting now, complaining about how hard it is to navigate the platform. It is widely known that users can only get their games via the online eShop of the company, centering on the digital titles available on the platform that offer instant access to their preferred titles.
However, players are already getting tired of the unnecessary experiences and content in the eShop, particularly with its search results.
Nintendo Switch 'eShop Spam' Sees Massive Complaints from Users

Users in the official r/Nintendo Switch subreddit have raised their complaints against Nintendo for the "eShop Spam" that is popping up in the games marketplace of the company. Here, they talk about the search option where they look for a specific game, only to be given results that offer similar games of the same genre, but see a wall full of "bundles" and "editions" which are not what they were looking for.
Comments also affirmed the same experience in the Switch's eShop platform, saying that this experience is no longer new in marketplaces too.
However, one user gives high praise to Nintendo's rivals in the industry, with the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store having these add-ons and other bundles available under a specific tab that hides them away, unlike what was found in the Switch.

Will Nintendo Offer a Fix for eShop Issues?
Apart from the spam experiences, users also regarded that Nintendo's eShop runs "poorly" on the Switch console, seeing long loading times for different titles or tabs to appear. Moreover, there is also a laggy experience here, but some claim that this is understandable because of the Switch's hardware.
Still, there are no acknowledgments yet from Nintendo regarding the eShop's issues, especially with the spam results that appear when using its search feature.
Nintendo Switch, eShop, and Its Future
Buying physical copies of preferred Nintendo Switch games is something that gamers recommend, particularly because it has a higher resale value. But there is also the eShop which offers more for the users to experience, particularly with massive sales available at all times, with the most iconic one from the latest Black Friday sale event.
That being said, there are massive plans for Nintendo according to rumors and speculations, particularly with the next-generation handheld gaming console, the Nintendo Switch 2, which will have an OLED option, coming by 2024.
Of course, the next-generation Switch also sees speculation that it will offer both physical and digital games, and this is why the recent issue of the eShop comes into the spotlight as it remains a bad experience for the company.
To date, Nintendo has not yet acknowledged the issue behind its eShop spam, especially as many users have already raised the issue via different online platforms. With the Nintendo Switch 2 allegedly coming, many are growing wary of the eShop's issue that makes it hard to navigate the online marketplace of the company to find the games they search for, but get related, spammy results instead.
