Samsung's latest Galaxy S24 series has shattered pre-sale records in Korea, breaking not only the pre-sale record for Galaxy S phones but also establishing a new daily average pre-order sales record via Android Authority. 

The much-anticipated Galaxy S24 series, unveiled just last week, boasts cutting-edge features, with Galaxy AI emerging as a standout performer.

Galaxy S24 Series Breaking Pre-Sales Records in Korea

Maeil Business News reported that the Galaxy S24 series garnered an impressive 1.21 million units in pre-sales within a week, eclipsing the performance of its predecessor. This Galaxy S23 series achieved 1.09 million units in a similar timeframe. 

Notably, this exceptional pre-sale performance places the Galaxy S24 series as the highest-grossing pre-sale for the entire Galaxy S lineup.

The daily average pre-order sales record makes this achievement even more remarkable, with the Galaxy S24 series clocking in an impressive 173,000 units per day. 

This achievement surpasses the previous record held by the Galaxy Note 10 series, which boasted 125,000 units per day during its pre-sale period. Although the Note 10 series still holds Samsung's overall pre-sale record, the Galaxy S24 series has set a new standard for daily sales averages.

Galaxy AI's Success

Delving into consumer preferences, Android Authority tells us that the Galaxy S24 Ultra emerged as the crowd favorite during the pre-sale bonanza, commanding a substantial 60% share of the total devices sold. 

Following closely behind, the Galaxy S24 Plus secured a commendable 21%, while the base Galaxy S24 accounted for 19% of the pre-orders. Color preferences were also unveiled, with Titanium Gray reigning supreme for the S24 Ultra and Marble Gray proving to be the top choice for the S24 and S24 Plus models.

The success of the Galaxy S24 series is attributed, in part, to the introduction of Galaxy AI functionality. Samsung's Galaxy AI, a highlight of the S24 series, boasts an impressive suite of features, including text translation, messenger translation, conversion of recorded files to text, and real-time interpretation supporting 13 languages. 

This enhanced usability and powerful overall performance have resonated strongly with consumers, contributing to the record-breaking pre-sales.

What's Next?

While pre-sale customers eagerly await the arrival of their devices beginning on the 26th, the official in-store release is set for the 31st. 

The challenge for Samsung now is to maintain this momentum, particularly with rivals like Apple leading the market in annual shipments. The tech world is eager to see if the Galaxy S24 series can maintain its stellar performance in the coming months.
