The loveable, enjoyable, and fun simulation game franchise's latest release, The Sims 4, was initially rumored to be coming to the Nintendo Switch, but that was short-lived as EA denied this hearsay earlier today. For almost a decade now, The Sims 4 brought the world a chance to build their own life, alongside other factors like homes, businesses, or forging a new career path.

Despite its promising run for a new audience over at Nintendo's console, there are no developments meant for the Switch to get the famed title.

ComicBook Gaming reported that a leaker called @TheHenfordHen shared an image via X which shows a Google Search detailing that The Sims 4 will soon release a version meant for the Nintendo Switch. The image shows that the Switch version was listed alongside the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series S and X, Xbox One, and the PC.

This leak brought massive excitement from gamers, especially as many fans wish to have their Switch consoles get the experience from Electronic Arts.

However, it is not true, and this was recently debunked by The Sims Direct Communications account on X, where it clarified that versions are coming to the Nintendo Switch.

EA Denied the Rumors and Shut it Down

While there seems to have been a mix-up on EA and The Sims' end, the error where it was listed as a console where the game is available has since been updated. Moreover, the team shut down the entire rumor about The Sims 4 coming to the Nintendo Switch, saying that there are no developments or plans meant to bring the famed title to the handheld device.

The Sims and What it Offers

Electronic Arts gave the world its latest take on its famed simulation game, and in 2014, the latest from the franchise was released to the world with The Sims 4. Fast forward to eight years later, the latest development on the famed game was with EA offering it for free to all users, available via all of its platforms including Windows via EA or Origin, Mac via Origin, Steam, PlayStation, and the Xbox.

Despite being a decade-old game, The Sims 4 and the entire franchise, are best known for the multiple mods and DLCs available, expanding more on what the experience has to offer for players. Through these experiences, gamers were given a chance to explore other aspects of the game, with one example allowing players to go back to school, complete with the institution, activities, and more.

Since then, The Sims has been an inclusive gaming experience for the different communities in the world, with various items, styles, designs, and more offering diversity. Many gamers have let EA know that they also want The Sims 4 to arrive on the Nintendo Switch, bringing the sim game to a portable or tabletop experience, but sadly, it is not part of EA's plans.
