The Mobilo Card paves the way for a modern approach in using a business card to share one's contact information and other data with people they meet at conventions, events, or meetings.

However, according to its founder Pieter Limburg, it is no longer a piece of paper that people hand out to new connections, with this all-in-one solution allowing users to share useful data without wasting straight to a smartphone.

Also known as the Smart Digital Business Card, Mobilo offers a solution to this modern problem. It ensures that information is completely saved, unlike paper or plastic cards that deteriorate over time.

Pieter Limburg's Mobile Card: No to Paper, Yes to Digital Solutions

Pieter Limburg's idea to bring the Mobilo Card to life centered on coming home from an event and having about 90 business cards handed out to him, getting overwhelmed by the fact that he needs to save these contacts one by one, and shuffling through the stack handed out to him.

In an exclusive interview with Tech Times' Chris Short, Limburg shared how at Mobilo, they "hate" business cards as "they don't do anything for you," apart from sharing one's contact and serve no purpose afterward.

While business cards can be made from various materials, such as paper and plastic, they are for one-time use only, and changing one's contact information may render them useless.

It worked in the earlier years when telephones and cellphones became abundant, but through Mobilo's Smart Digital Business Card solution, users may share their information with a single tap.

Additionally, Limburg shared that he considered an app, but upon checking the market, he found that "seamless" services for digital business cards were non-existent and would also require the receiver to have this app.

What sets the Mobilo Card apart from traditional methods?

The idea behind Mobilo is to replace business cards. However, it still offers other uses for the modern businessperson, employee, startup, or others, as it can either save information directly to another person's business card, go to a specific landing page, offer a Lead generation mode that will take new contacts to a CRM platform, or link to any URL they wish to share.

The Mobilo card uses an NFC chip, which sends information directly to a smartphone and is available for multi-device support, including Android and iOS. Moreover, those using older devices may simply scan the QR code on the card and still get the information.

It does not have to be a card, as Mobilo also offers an NFC Key Fob, which can be attached as a keychain or stuck behind the smartphone with Mobilo's NFC smart button.

Should you get a Mobilo Card?

Limburg showed the seamless integration of one's information on the Mobilo card's NFC chip. With only one tap on the smartphone, users get a notification that will lead them to a landing page. Their information also appears on the Contacts app of their device, complete with the information the owner wants to share.

According to the founder, Mobilo's inception from the idea of an all-in-one solution was the "start of something simple, something that you don't need an app for, something that can still carry some branding and momentum" and helps a person stand out through this Smart Digital Business Card.

Creating connections is hard, but they can come from a simple tap through Mobilo's digital business card, which can share a vast amount of information in a single action, ensuring that it is complete, correct, and hassle-free.
