Consoles are known for mid-generation refresh releases, and Microsoft's take on this for the Xbox Series X has now leaked in the gaming industry. It claims that it would be all-digital and feature the color white.

Also known as the project Brooklin, the earlier leaks behind the Xbox Series X refresh suggested that it would be cylindrical, forgoing its rectangular design.

The previous leak, which focused on the Xbox Series X's cylindrical shape, made it look like an overgrown WiFi mesh or the Apple HomePod device.

Exputer released a series of new leaks about the Xbox Series X refresh, which was said to be Microsoft's next device, a.k.a. the mid-generation release.

According to the leak, it would feature a white color that takes on the Series S 'robot white' shade. It would no longer be able to read discs as it would be an all-digital console.

Moreover, it features the same boxy exterior as the original Xbox Series X, only changing its colors, other internal components, and performance. It no longer accepts discs.

The leaker said that the new Xbox Series X will be available in June or July this year, and it will be around $50 to $100 cheaper than the original Series X's $499 retail price.

No Longer Cylindrical from Earlier Series X Leaks?

The new Xbox Series X leak differs from the earlier rumors behind the mid-gen refresh of the console.

This was particularly true of the leaked document from Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, which was released while the FTC case was still ongoing.

According to The Verge, this is known as the 'Brooklin,' and it featured a cylindrical shape instead of the boxy one, one that has updated technology, improved performance, and also an all-digital release.

Microsoft and the Xbox Series S and X

Previous reports on the Xbox console's refresh for the Series S and X had its CEO Phil Spencer addressing that this is not a "need" or an "imperative" for the company to do so. Particularly as massive speculations popped up regarding new console refreshes coming, also including the Sony PlayStation 5, which is known for its new version, a.k.a. the Slim

While Sony went ahead with its PS5 refresh, otherwise known as its mid-gen version, Xbox was slow on news or confirmations behind this, as there is still a 50/50 chance for it.

Amidst the controversial case between the FTC and Microsoft & Activision Blizzard, news about a 'Brooklin' console, a mid-gen redesign for the Xbox Series X, surfaced.

Now, a new leak is claiming that the Xbox Series X will soon undergo a redesign. It will still feature the boxy body of the original console, but several qualities will be changed.

First, it will now be an all-digital console that eliminates the disc provision and features an all-white look, as opposed to the Series X's exclusively black release. The release date is still unknown.
