A new tool, dubbed 'Live Forever Mode,' expected later this year, is reportedly combining virtual reality and artificial intelligence to create digital avatars of loved ones and simulate the person so future generations can interact with them

Internet entrepreneur Artur Sychov developed the AI tool and includes artificial avatars that, after just 30 minutes of user observation, can mimic a person's speech, mannerisms, and actions.

Before its official launch, Artur's company, Somnium Space, is testing its "live forever mode" at its offices in Prague, Czech Republic. With a virtual reality headset, users can access the 3D metaverse platform Somnium Space. They are avatars in this world, able to engage in gaming, artistic expression, event attendance, and the buying and selling of other users' virtual commodities.

Since its establishment in 2017, the platform has been downloaded 300,000 times, and between 50 and 250 users log in each day. Although an official debut of the "live forever mode" gadget is anticipated later this year, many doubts remain. It will be funded by a subscription fee, but neither the amount nor the person who will pick up the tab once the author passes away has been decided.

The technology was first shown off in 2022. Artur bragged that it could be able to record information on users that is possibly 100-300 times more than what they would while using a mobile phone.

He goes on to say that virtual reality technology can swiftly and more accurately identify users than fingerprints by recording the movements of their mouth, fingers, eyes, and full body.

OpenAI in 'Live Forever Mode'

The founder revealed then that a user has begun integrating OpenAI's chatbot into his metaverse, producing a virtual assistant that provides a quicker path for the creation of the "Live Forever Mode." This was the first time that AI's connection to "Live Forever Mode" was mentioned. This was last year.

It was not Sychov who introduced the ChatGPT API into the Somnium universe, but Artific, a metaverse user who has built several worlds in Somnium Space and rents out some of his space to others building their own online experiences.

Data science professional Artific had long been dubious of artificial intelligence, but after being astounded by his ability to hold a conversation with the ChatGPT bot, he looked into potential applications within Sychov's metaverse.

AI Continues Dominance

'Live Forever Mode' only continues to show that the most popular things in the world right now are the well-known artificial intelligence from OpenAI and the digital world that many companies are working to construct, which offers a mixed-reality experience.

These two are similar in that they both revolve around computer software that offers a substantial online experience to everyone, regardless of their niches and areas of expertise. Because of the great service it provides and the positive feedback users receive from OpenAI, ChatGPT is currently the AI with the fastest growth rate in the world.
