Bethesda has officially released a free next-gen update for Fallout 4, allowing gamers to play in "performance" and "quality" modes, whereas the 2015 game is boosted to 4K and up to 60 fps.

The primary elements of the upgrade are the performance and quality mode settings. By selecting the "Performance" option, players can experience 4K resolution and play the game at up to 60 frames per second.

With no dynamic scaling, the game plays at thirty frames per second at 4K in "Quality" mode.

Fallout 4 PlayStation Plus owners are not currently allowed to get this update. GameSpot has reportedly contacted Bethesda to discuss the issue; however, it is unknown if this is deliberate or the consequence of a technical fault.

The next-generation patch for Fallout 4 first leaked in 2022 and was initially scheduled to be released in 2023; however, Bethesda decided to push it back until 2024.

Bethesda tweeted that while it works to roll out the update, access to the Mods Menu and/or Creation Club is temporarily disabled. These features weren't available when this article was published.

Additionally, a free update with stability enhancements, login and quest repairs, and other features is being given to Fallout 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Lastly, a free Fallout 4 PC update includes several quest improvements, Creation Kit corrections, and support for widescreen and ultra-widescreen displays.

Fallout 4 PC users will receive stability, mod, and bug updates on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and GOG. In addition, Steam Deck will validate Fallout 4 and make it available for purchase at the Epic Games Store.

Amazon's Fallout

The hit Amazon-exclusive series Fallout was recently renewed for Season 2. Although there was much anticipation before it was made available on Prime, this confirmation guarantees that the series will continue.

Season 2 will cover a lot of ground after Lee Moldaver, Hank MacLean, and the fall of the New California Republic, especially with Lucy's renewed mission to uncover more information about the Wasteland and Vault-Tec's secrets.

Fallout was recently officially renewed for a second season on Amazon Prime Video. The show will continue the story that established the Wasteland and its facets.

Fallout's Season 2 obtained a $25 million tax credit to film in California, similar to the setting of the television adaption. Season 1's filming took place in a variety of areas.

The conclusion of Season 1 left many loose ends, except for The Ghoul and Lucy, who ventured into the Wasteland to learn more about Vault-Tec.
