The free games available on the PlayStation Plus subscription for May 2024 have finally been revealed. Sony is offering four titles this month for its console subscribers.

Moreover, another game will be accessed later this month for those under the PS Plus Extra and Premium tier subscription under the renowned PS Plus Game Catalog. 

Sadly, not all titles available on the PlayStation Plus May 2024 releases are available to play on the PS4, with the current-gen PS5 the only one to get full access.

PlayStation Plus May 2024 Games Revealed

Sony and the PlayStation Blog announced the latest its online service has to offer for its subscribers this May 2024, following its last week announcement of the four titles accessible for gamers. 

The new games included in the list are as follows: EA Sports FC 24, Ghostrunner 2, Tunic, and Destiny 2: Lightfall.

According to Sony, these games will be available on May 7, which means that it is worth checking out PS Plus on your consoles to get started on them.

However, while the PlayStation 5 may access all four games, the PS4 makes one exception: Ghostrunner 2 is unavailable for the previous-gen device. 

That being said, these titles are some of the most famous games in the PlayStation and the gaming industry now, from the remarkable standalone football game from Electronic Arts to the latest Destiny 2 downloadable content release.

Additionally, PS Plus offers the EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team Starter Pack bundle with the game.

Additional Game on PS Plus Game Catalog

However, that is not all for this month.

According to ComicBook Gaming, an additional game is coming for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers later this May.

Specifically, this game is called Animal Well, and it is another day-one addition to the renowned Game Catalog, which will follow in the coming weeks. 

Moreover, Sony is expected to announce more titles for the PS Plus Game Catalog, so stay tuned. 

PlayStation Plus: Is It Worth It?

Sony's PlayStation Plus is its take on an online game service for users of its console, also known for offering online capabilities, monthly free games, and Sony Pictures Core under the subscription.

Many titles are available to download for free, and subscribers receive a monthly catalog of new titles to enjoy and refresh their library as part of the renowned service. 

More recently, Sony made its cloud game streaming service available under PS Plus Premium, offering a way to play the library's titles online without downloading and installing them.

It also took a page from Nintendo's retro gaming experiences, offering its classic PS1 titles available under the PS Plus Premium subscription.
