The Samsung Galaxy Ring is coming later this year for its availability and sale, one that would cost users as low as $300 but could be more expensive and reach around $350 for the wearable.

However, a new report claimed that it would not be the only fee that one would face when using Samsung's ring tracker, as a monthly subscription would be required from its users.

A renowned insider and tipster, Yogesh Brar, shared new information about the Galaxy Ring's price, including that Samsung will sell it starting at $300.

However, the device's price would not be constant, with its US pricing reaching as much as $350 for the wearable. The tip did not reveal what other factors would contribute to it being sold for $50 more than its base price.

The new Samsung wearable would be available in three colorways, including Black, Gold, and Silver, the common ring colors available, but it is unknown if the price would vary depending on the color.

Currently, no information on the Galaxy Ring would have styles that one may request from Samsung for custom designs.

Subscription Required for Samsung's Galaxy Ring

Brar also mentioned to Android Authority that, in addition to the sale price, a monthly subscription would be required for the Samsung Galaxy Ring.

This means that on top of the $300, users would have to pay a monthly $10 fee to get its full features and more than what meets the eye.

However, it is also unknown if it would have a purpose if a user opts out of the subscription, considering that the Galaxy Watches are health and fitness wearables that no longer require monthly fees to bring its renowned features.

Samsung Galaxy Ring's Journey

Early last year, there were massive talks behind two upcoming wearables from Samsung that would introduce new devices: the patent-applied Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Glasses.

Initially, it was believed that the Galaxy Ring would be an accessory to the Glasses as part of a touted XR experience coming from Samsung, but it was later believed that the finger wearable is meant for health tracking.

In this year's Galaxy Unpacked January 2024, Samsung not only unveiled its latest flagship smartphone which boasts of its onboard AI capabilities, but also a teaser to its Galaxy Ring wearable.

This new wearable is taking on the likes of the Oura Ring, RingConn, and more, with Samsung penetrating a new field that adds to its current Galaxy Watch lineup for health and fitness tracking.

The smaller form factor makes it a nice addition to the many technologies that people have for various needs, like health and fitness. It offers an accessory that would match one's aesthetic but bring more tech to a person.

However, buying the Galaxy Ring would not be enough, as Samsung will reportedly require a subscription to enjoy and use more of what a person needs for health tracking.
