Amidst the massive focus on mobile AI and the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung had another one in the bag for the world, and right before the event ended, the company teased a new wearable coming soon. Enter the Samsung Galaxy Ring, is a health tracker that is compressed in this new form factor that differs from the company's usual smartwatch, offering a new kind of experience worn on the finger.
The company did not reveal much of the Galaxy Ring during the showcase, but this teaser confirms the long-speculated device coming soon.
Meet the Galaxy Ring: Samsung Teases New Wearable

Right as Samsung was wrapping up its Galaxy Unpacked event and talked about the new experiences coming for the Samsung Health platform, the company unveiled its new wearable called the Galaxy Ring. In this announcement, the company said that it wants to bring an all-new and powerful health wearable for all, centering on accessibility for users.
This new "shape of future health" will be an easy-to-use device as users only need to pair it with their Samsung Health app and wear the ring on their finger.
Like another ring-designed health tracker, it will deliver different pieces of information that would be beneficial to health tracking, which the app would account for.
The first iteration of the Galaxy Ring was heard from Samsung's patent filing of the said name, alongside the "Galaxy Glasses" which were not yet officially unveiled by the company.
While not much was said by Samsung during the event, it is expected to manifest itself come the latter parts of the year, or with the company revealing more information behind the device.
Samsung's Developments and Tech
Before the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 earlier today, Samsung has also presented its latest developments to the CES 2024 showcase where it revealed its new era for folding displays. It is called the "In&Out" Flip and another series of folding OLED displays, to make foldables offer sleeker form factors despite being folded, but still offer an immersive screen when unfolded.
Massive talks behind Samsung's development of the AI-powered experiences were also rampant last year, from the devices or experiences that the company already unveiled, down to the speculated ones. One of the main talks of the town was Galaxy S24's focus on AI experiences, especially with the AI call feature which also allows non-Samsung users to take advantage of.
Back in July 2023, there were massive rumors behind a new health tech wearable from Samsung to arrive, as many spotted its patent filing in the USPTO which further confirms the speculations. Samsung did not wait for a long time to unveil its latest take on a health tracker wearable in a small form factor, with its latest teaser of the Galaxy Ring, still unknown when it would arrive, but claims to be soon.
