Terminally ill Indiana child, Levi Mayhew, was unable to go on his Make-a-Wish trip, so his family chose to send his 10-year-old friend Emma Broyer instead. The family knew from the beginning that 6-year-old Mayhew would never make the trip due to his illness that does not allow him to travel.

The young boy who is from Martinsville is suffering from a rare genetic disorder that makes it impossible for him to walk or talk. It is not yet certain if doctors can find a way to treat the problem Mayhew is suffering from right now, but for the time being, he can continue to bring joy to others.

"We didn't know what to do for a long time," Rebecca Drake, Levi's mother, told the Daily News. "I didn't even have a wheelchair for Levi yet."

According to the Daily News, young Emma Broyer visited Disney World and the beach, but she made sure to bring with her a cutout dubbed "Flat Levi" along for the ride. For the whole time, she did not forget her friend, and it makes this story more mesmerizing.

In addition, we understand that Broyer took numerous pictures everywhere she went, and even managed to surprise Levi and his family with a scrapbook filled with photos after returning from her trip.

Rebecca Drake was really touched by what Broyer did since she was not required to do it in any way.

"It really melted my heart that they found a way to include Levi even though he wasn't able to go," Drake said.

The adventures of Levi Mayhew are not yet over because his sister is making plans to bring "Flat Levi" with her to high school. Furthermore, if all goes according to plan, the cut-out picture might even make a small cameo in the upcoming school play, Peter Pan.

We are certain little Levi would be happy to know that the little cutout image of his is going places he is unable to be, and the fact that it is making others happy. At the moment, we can only hope and pray that a miracle falls on Levi Mayhew that would allow him to walk and talk again.
