If you've ever dreamed of running a wargaming miniatures store, now's your chance to do just that (at least, digitally).
French developer Knight Fever Games just announced its new Steam game Tabletop Game Shop Sim, a fun new title in the vein of Game Dev Story or Holy Potatoes! A Weapon Shop?! that lets you manage a virtual tabletop store on your PC.
You'll design the store layout, set prices for your miniatures (which you also get to assemble and paint), and either sell or save for your own collection. You can connect with other game shop business owners, host game nights in your store, and even compete against customers.
"As an avid Miniature Wargame enthusiast, I've always wanted to create a game that captures that feeling," said Adrien Britta, Co-Founder of Knight Fever Games in an email sent to TechTimes. "I can't wait to see everyone open their own tabletop shops, create memories with customers, and craft a successful business from such a beloved hobby."
You'll be able to set up an "owner's table" to show off your collection, collect prized miniatures, and open mystery packs to get rare parts. Ultimately, you'll be able to paint one-of-a-kind figures to attract and impress new customers and raise your store's rep.
The plan is to launch the game on Steam this year, as the company revealed at the Games Made in France event on Friday.
