The world is awaiting this year's new batch of foldables from Samsung, and a new report has good news for all foldable fans in the United States as the next releases from the South Korean tech giant will remain at pretty much the same price point.
Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to be released sometime this year and while the tariffs already took effect, there would not be any markups in prices coming.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7 Won't Increase Prices
According to a report from X user @PandaFlashPro, Samsung has good news for all fans and customers of its foldable devices, particularly as the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 will remain at almost the same price as the previous generation.
The X user noted that only a few countries would see the price increase for the upcoming foldable phones from the company.
In a report by 9to5Google, it noted that there are only a handful of regions that will see price increases, but it did not yet name-drop the United States as one of the countries that would see such changes.
This also means that users may expect the next Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 to follow the previous selling prices of the current generation devices should things remain the same.
Trump Tariffs Are No Problem for Samsung
President Trump previously announced that companies like Samsung who are not manufacturing their devices in the US would be possibly subject to a 25% tax rate. However, there are still no developments on this, and Samsung has yet to face the brunt of it, hence the pricing for the next-gen foldable may remain the same.
That being said, there may be spontaneous changes as either Samsung may impose a price increase right then and there or President Trump may enforce the tariffs amidst its sale.
Price Increases Because of Trump's Tariffs
President Trump's tariffs have shocked the world, including both businesses and consumers, as after a short time of exemption, it is now coming to reign down on all imported goods. The tech industry faces major challenges, and President Trump recently claimed that all smartphones made outside the US are subject to the new taxes.
Some companies have already gone ahead to announce the price increases they are implementing across their catalog. Logitech is one of the companies that announced that they are raising the prices across select products in their US sale, with as much as a 25% increase now felt across its keyboards, mice, and more.
It is important to note that the tariffs apply to all kinds of imports from foreign countries coming into the United States, and there are currently no exemptions from the taxes imposed by the government.
