Bethesda's "Starfield" is not getting its second DLC anytime soon, and according to the latest rumors, the awaited next expansion of the game is not meant for a 2025 release date.

A new comment shared by NateTheHate, a well-known leaker in the industry, on ResetEra's forum presented a good news-bad news situation to fans of "Starfield" as they claimed that the next DLC of the franchise is not coming this year.

As of writing, there are still no official announcements or hints from Bethesda, Microsoft, or Xbox's end regarding new content for "Starfield."

According to GameRant, this latest rumor is good news to all fans of the troubled open-world space game as it confirms the earlier leak from Windows Central's Jez Corden, who is the one who leaked this second DLC.

In his previous appearance in a podcast, Corden revealed that Bethesda is currently working on "Starfield's" next expansion alongside "Elder Scrolls VI."

Corden had also discussed the gaming studio's "Fallout 5," which has been recently given the green light to start its development, with the next installment of the renowned dystopian action franchise set for the future.

Delay on 'Starfield's' New DLC?

Neither NateTheHate nor Jez Corden were able to provide any official release windows that Bethesda is considering for the upcoming "Starfield" DLC. However, it was speculated that this new expansion from Bethesda would be available by early 2026.

NateTheHate's comment also reaffirms speculations on this second expansion coming to "Starfield" to have been developed by the company for quite some time.

Despite the later release date expected from this next expansion, there were no mentions of it being delayed or facing delays, so it may mean that it was not originally planned by Bethesda to release it this year at all.
