Human-Computer Interaction visionary Prakshal Jain is not a typical product builder. Instead, he is designing the emotional infrastructure for next-gen consumer experiences and bringing depth to how people buy, build, and connect. The thought leader focuses on "emotional UX" as a transformative differentiator in immersive commerce, combining his Meta experience and philosophy.

Chimera: Turning Emotion into Immersive Commerce

Jain is an immersive technology innovator and technologist in spatial computing and AI. He founded Chimera, an AR/VR configurator that transforms luxury car retail through immersive and hyper-realistic personalization experiences. The young company is gaining traction and being courted by U.S. dealerships.

The idea for Chimera was born when Jain attended a Stanford Human-Computer Interaction lecture by AR/VR expert Jasmine Roberts. A few days later, he caught sight of an extremely rare red LaFerrari parked in front of a theater. This emotionally charged moment inspired him to recreate that experience using immersive technology. Chimera was born from this vision: to provide buyers with a sense of connection with a car before ever touching it.

Chimera has gained notable attention from NVIDIA, Apple, and Lamborghini. It has additionally scheduled demos at high-profile dealership events and investor meetings to showcase its groundbreaking approach to experiential commerce and immersive visualization.

This work earned Jain a patent, formally recognizing its technological novelty and impact potential. Under Jain's leadership, Chimera's Automotive and Omniverse teams built a relationship with NVIDIA and received mentorship from Frank Casanova, the Senior Director of Product Marketing for Vision Pro, who had previously worked alongside Steve Jobs.

Tech Contributions and Breakthroughs

Along with securing a patent, Jain and Chimera have received recognition in technology for excellence and commitment. While working at a "tech giant" that is leading in AI and AR/VR, Jain saved the company over $3 million annually by inventing and implementing an in-house accessibility detection system and testing framework. The framework became an essential open-source contribution and positioned Meta as a leader in accessibility innovation.

Jain also rebuilt core platform interfaces from scratch for the company's human-centered AR/VR platform, which was once considered an unachievable project. The work enabled immersive social experiences for millions of users.

Even before Chimera came to fruition, Jain had developed multiple platforms. "Zeal," a machine learning (ML) platform, helps students form ideal startup teams. "Reactive," an open-source video editor, was downloaded more than 800 times a day. With these programs, Jain demonstrates a pattern of designing tools that solve real problems.

From Pen Repairs to Patents

Jain's academic demonstrations are as impressive as his professional record, demonstrated by his graduating Summa Cum Laude in Computer Science from the University at Buffalo. He remained on the Dean's List from 2019 to 2022 and was a member of the University Honors College.

Born into a middle-class family of doctors in India, Jain was expected to enter medicine. Instead, he pursued technology, driven by a desire to build global products with real-world implications. As a child, Jain ran a "Pen Doctor Institution" during school lunch breaks, fixing classmates' pens in exchange for snacks. This was a playful yet telling early sign of his entrepreneurial mindset.

Designing the Future of Emotion-Driven Tech

Jain envisions developing emotionally intelligent technology that enhances the human experience and economic opportunity. He aims to position himself at the intersection of immersive computing, design, and entrepreneurship by scaling systems that make the impossible appear real. With Chimera, he aims to redefine how premium products are sold and customized, expanding to industries outside of the luxury automobile market, including yachts, private jets, real estate, and fashion.

As Chimera's founder, he shows that experimental commerce can be both technologically advanced and emotionally resonant. His long-term vision is to establish the U.S. as a global hub for immersive retail through building tools that connect, inspire, and empower.

Looking ahead, Jain plans to launch a design lab focused on ethical AR/VR standards and mentor underrepresented founders, continuing his mission to build innovation with purpose.
