Compliance Aid LLC announces the upcoming launch of its mobile app, designed to simplify compliance workflows across multiple frameworks. Set to be launched in November, the Compliance Aid app has been developed as a practical companion for assessors, information system security officers, security analysts, and risk managers who work with established federal and industrial frameworks.
According to Cordell Robinson, the COO of Compliance Aid LLC and CEO of Brownstone Consulting Firm, the goal was to offer something people could access from the field or the office without abandoning established protocols. "It's built so cybersecurity professionals can move through documentation and assessments step by step, without sorting through scattered resources," he says.
Compliance Aid includes guidance aligned with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, and SCADA/ICS controls. The app provides mobile access to elements such as security plan implementation statements, suggested artifacts, interview prompts, and risk considerations that typically require screening through multiple documents. According to Robinson, it was designed for both mobile phones and tablets because not every professional works from a desktop environment anymore. He says, "Whether someone's traveling to a client site or reviewing a system internally, they can walk through what they need in real time."
Robinson highlighted that professionals new to the industry often feel pressure when handling stakeholder interviews, especially when speaking with executives, administrators, or engineers. "A lot of junior professionals struggle to know which questions to ask," he said. "Rather than assume people know what to reference or how to phrase interview questions, the app aims to put those elements at their fingertips."
Robinson has watched these challenges play out across decades in the field. Over more than 25 years, he has trained individuals across a spectrum of roles and has seen the same obstacles surface repeatedly. "Many compliance and assessment tasks still start with pen and paper or improvised notes, even while organizations adopt AI and other digital tools across broader operations," he says. "Technology is speeding up everything else, so it never made sense that the behind-the-scenes work stayed stuck in older habits."

Creating the app was also a way for Robinson to package the kind of support he once provided directly. He has mentored teams and individuals across different settings, but technology now offers a way to capture the same guidance at scale. Compliance Aid aims to reflect the common scenarios he encountered and the practical steps that helped new and experienced individuals move forward in their roles.
Although the initial release focuses on widely used standards and controls, Robinson says, "the current version is only the start. Additional features and frameworks are under development, shaped by the same experiences that informed the first build." According to him, the intent is to grow the platform in line with evolving requirements and the realities faced by compliance professionals. "We are not treating this as a one-off solution. The work is ongoing, and so is the technology," he says.
As AI continues to influence expectations around efficiency, accuracy, and speed, many cybersecurity roles are adapting under pressure. Compliance Aid enters the market as part of that shift with the aim of reducing friction in areas that have remained unchanged for years. With the launch approaching, the app is set to open a conversation about what everyday tools should look like for professionals navigating regulatory frameworks, documentation, and risk, on any device, from any location.
