QNET earned three Stevie Awards at the 22nd Annual International Business Awards in October 2025, including a Gold award for its QNET Against Scams campaign. The recognition caps a busy year for the Hong Kong-based company, which celebrated its 27th anniversary with V-Malaysia 2025 in Penang—an event that drew over 10,000 Independent Distributors from more than 30 countries.
The Gold Stevie Award recognized QNET's consumer protection efforts in Ghana, where the company launched an education campaign to combat scammers misusing its brand name. A Silver Stevie in the Public Service category acknowledged the same campaign, while a Bronze Stevie honored V-Africa 2025, held in Accra in February with 4,000 participants from across sub-Saharan Africa.
"These awards are a validation of our efforts to fight back against those who misuse our brand name to defraud others," said Trevor Kuna, Chief Marketing Officer at QNET. "We are determined to protect the communities in which we operate and rebuild trust with our customers and stakeholders."
Founded in 1998, QNET began as GoldQuest, selling commemorative coins and collectibles. The company diversified throughout the 2000s, adding luxury watches through its acquisition of Swiss manufacturer Cimier in 2005, launching QVI Club travel memberships in 2002, and entering the wellness market with energy devices and health supplements by 2006.
How the Direct Selling Model Functions
Independent Distributors join QNET by registering through existing members and purchasing products for personal use or resale. Earnings come from retail sales commissions and bonuses tied to team performance rather than fixed salaries.
Kuna described the operational approach: "Our direct-selling model aligns with the company's mission of empowering individuals, fostering entrepreneurship, and improving lives. It provides a vibrant platform where customers enjoy outstanding service, access exclusive high-quality products, and receive continuous support. Independent representatives can set up their businesses with minimal startup costs, benefiting from flexible schedules and simplified workflows."
Earnings are performance-based rather than guaranteed. QNET's training materials emphasize that distributors cannot promise fixed income to potential recruits.
Technology Infrastructure
QNET developed digital tools supporting distributor operations. An award-winning mobile application allows Independent Distributors to track sales, monitor commissions, and assess team development. The platform provides product videos, training materials, and guidance on presentation techniques.
The company transitioned to a cloud-based computing infrastructure to improve operational agility and scalability.
"Our award-winning QNET mobile app takes center stage, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the overall shopping experience for our valued customers and distributors, anytime, anywhere," said Kuna. "We understand that in today's digital age, mobile accessibility is paramount, and the app has been designed with that in mind."
V-Malaysia 2025 and Annual Conventions
Major conventions like V-Malaysia and V-Africa gather thousands of distributors for leadership training, product exhibitions, and networking sessions. V-Malaysia 2025, held for the 13th consecutive year in Penang, featured product launches including Harmoniq-Snooze bio-signaling patches for sleep and Qwik-Vibe oral strips for energy.
The convention opened with Malaysian cultural performances and unveiled Wira and Manja, Malayan sun bear mascots for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
A keynote address by Sparsh Shah, a musician and motivational speaker born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, captivated attendees.
"Having Sparsh Shah share his incredible story was a deeply moving experience for our global community," said Kuna. "He embodies the very essence of RYTHM—rising above circumstances to inspire others."
Global Operations and Partnerships
QNET maintains operations across more than 100 countries with particular concentration in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. The company holds Direct Selling Association memberships in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Indonesia.
The company operates through local partners in certain markets. Transblue Limited serves as QNET's partner in Nigeria, while Bosumtwi Industries Limited represents the company in Ghana. Vihaan Direct Selling (India) Pvt. Ltd. functions as QNET's franchisee for Indian operations.
Akeem Ajisafe, CEO of Transblue Nigeria Limited, described the business model's accessibility: "Direct selling enables individuals to start businesses without initial capital. You don't need an office; you can grow and create a network. We're providing a platform for Nigerians to succeed."
Regional expansion has required navigating distinct regulatory frameworks across different countries. QNET adapted operations based on local direct selling legislation, modifying practices to meet jurisdiction-specific requirements.
The company also secured high-profile partnerships to strengthen brand recognition. The company serves as the Official Direct Selling Partner of Manchester City Football Club, a relationship that began in 2014 and continues today. The company also partners with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
At V-Malaysia 2025, QNET announced that V-Africa 2026 will take place in Ghana during the first quarter of 2026. "Our conventions are more than just meetings; they are economic partnerships with host nations," Kuna said. "The success of V-Malaysia demonstrates how business tourism creates a positive ripple effect. We are thrilled to build on this legacy and bring the same energy and opportunity to Ghana with V-Africa 2026, further solidifying our commitment to empowering entrepreneurs across the African continent."
