'Death Stranding 2' May Be Coming to PCs Earlier Than Expected, Along With a Surprise Twist

This latest discovery is good news for 'Death Stranding' fans who prefer to play on PC.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

"Death Stranding 2" fans may be able to play the game on PC as it is rumored to release earlier than expected.

'Death Stranding 2' Is Coming to PCs Earlier than Expected

Trusted leaker Wario64 has shared a new screenshot of the ESRB page which has recently listed the "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach's" latest rating for its PC release version.

The celebrated sequel got the same Mature 17+ rating as its PlayStation 5 version, but the real good news for fans here is that this means a near-release date for the game may be expected.

Previous titles that received their ESRB rating have been released shortly after, and the same may be the same for "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach," according to the latest report from DigitalTrends.

Another good thing here is that it is said to be replicating the same release pattern that the original game, "Death Stranding" from Kojima Productions, followed. It saw a PlayStation 5 release date first, and then it was shortly followed by the PC port version of the game, which ended its exclusivity on the console.

It should be noted that the release schedule for the PC version has not been confirmed by Kojima Productions as of writing.

There is a Surprising Twist on 'Death Stranding 2' for PCs

There is also another interesting detail reflected on the ESRB rating page based on the screenshot by the leaker, particularly as it listed Sony Interactive Entertainment as the publisher of the PC version.

Sony's SIE is the original publisher of "Death Stranding 2" for the PlayStation 5, but they are also credited for this PC version, which means that it would be a first-party port.

This may mean that they would also optimize the game for the Windows computer gaming platform, which could spell great things for this version.

"Death Stranding 2: On the Beach" was originally released in June 2025 exclusively for PlayStation 5 consoles.
