Images showing the Samsung Galaxy S6 lineup have been leaked, showing that this year Samsung will be offering a number of different versions of the phone.

The image shows not only what is likely to be the "standard" Galaxy S6, but also an "Edge" version of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 isn't set to be formally announced by Samsung until the Samsung Unpacked event on March 1; however rumors surrounding the upcoming device have certainly been rampant on the Internet.

The image, which is a 3D render, first shows the standard Galaxy S6, shows the device in a Verus-branded phone cover, with Verus being one of the top smartphone cover makers in South Korea. The third device seems to be the device in another type of cover; however no brand name is given.

The fourth and fifth devices are the most interesting appearances on the image. Judging by the image, it seems as though Samsung will be bringing the "Edge" type body found on the Galaxy Note 4 Edge to the Galaxy S series. Not only that, but it seems as though the devices display doesn't just curve around on side like the Galaxy Note 4, but instead curves around both sides. It's also possible that Samsung will be making different versions for right-handed and left-handed people.

The image also shows a rather thin looking bezel on the phone, and a physical home button. In fact, the bezel seems to be in line with the silver shape that was the object in a Samsung advertisement.

The inclusion of an Edge-style phone in the Galaxy S series is certainly an interesting move for Samsung, especially considering the fact that the Galaxy Note Edge wasn't as successful as Samsung might have liked. In fact, the company reportedly sold only 630,000 Galaxy Note Edge units, worldwide. Compared to the 4.5 million units of the Galaxy Note 4, this really isn't much. Samsung might, however, be considering it a success considering the fact that it was really just an experiment for a new product.

One of the reasons for the smaller sales is likely that fact that the Galaxy Note Edge is more expensive than the Galaxy Note 4. It is likely that the rumored Galaxy S Edge will be a little more expensive than the Galaxy S6 as well.

It is also likely that the Galaxy S Edge will be a continued experiment for Samsung, which is still trying to figure out how to best implement the curved display technology.
