From diving into beautiful reefs in the ocean to swimming with sharks and whales, from jumping off cliffs and planes to doing skateboard tricks on pipes and stairways, to climbing rocky mountains and smooth buildings -- oh, the crazy lengths some have gone to record a great GoPro video.

With numerous uploads out there, what would set you apart? Jumping off buildings, no matter the height, is so passé. Why not add a bit of twist to it? How about jumping off a 90-foot-tall building while on fire? Perfect!

It seemed like any other ordinary day for the 22-year-old stuntman, Alexander Chernikov, as he ignited onlookers' attention and interest when he set himself on fire before jumping off a height of 30 meters in a Russian neighborhood.

Dressed in purple and white and armed only with a GoPro attached to his head (Look Ma, no helmet!), this daredevil, seemingly without fear or hesitation, accepted the lighted baton from one of his accomplices and willingly set himself on fire as seen in the video.

In a moment, Chernikov took spectators with him as he dove into the ground below, which was padded only with layers of snow. The snow extinguished the flames as he landed.

The video shows him being dug out of the crater he created with his fall by some men who turned out to be the police.

Chernikov was then later arrested for his dangerous stunt but not before gaining the applause of bystanders.

There are two video perspectives of the stunt: one is from Alexander's GoPro, which gives us a first-hand view of what he experienced and the other is a view from the ground filmed by another one of his accomplices. Both uploads are continuing to garner numerous views on YouTube.

"I climbed onto the roof and chose the angle from which to jump better, with a much better distribution of snow," Chernikov said when asked about his method of choosing the right building to jump off from.
