Move over, Katherine Heigl's character from 27 Dresses. There's a new forever bridesmaid in town.

With 46 bridal bouquets caught, Jamie Jackson of Salt Lake City claims to hold the world record. Yes apparently there is a world record for just about everything. Jackson recently submitted her application to make it official and have her achievement appear in the Guinnes World Records, KSL.com first reported. Stephanie Monyak currently holds the world record with 11 bouquets caught.

So how does Jackson do it? Well first, she attends a ton of weddings. She estimates that she's attended between 80 and 100 through the years due to all the people her family meets through musical theater and their church group. Then, you have to be strategic. This is how Jackson described her method of catching bouquets to KSL.com:

"'It is something that you have to plan for and you have to be very strategic where you place yourself,' Jackson said, laughing. 'My strategy is to be right up in the front because a lot of times the brides don't know how far they are going to throw it. A lot of times it will hit a ceiling, it'll hit a chandelier... I've had many, many catches where I've had to jump for it. And I've hit little kids by accident.'"

Yes, Jackson gets as into this as it seems. She described herself as having a "competitive nature" and told KSL.com that bouquet catching is "her sport."

Clearly, after hearing about Jackson's story, anyone who believed in that myth that those who catch the bride's bouquet at a wedding will be the next to marry just had their hearts broken. Sorry not sorry. It's better you learn the truth sooner rather than later.

So, yes, Jackson is still single, but she wants everyone to know that she's not avoiding marriage just so she can keep catching those bouquets. Although, she does keep 44 of the 46 bouquets she's caught over the years in a cabinet like they're trophies or something, kind of like Heigl's character in 27 Dresses after all. And she's planning on catching four more bouquets to bring her total up to an even 50. I think she must just really like weddings.
