The release of Grand Theft Auto V to PC has once again been delayed, with a new release date of April 14 being scheduled.

The news comes a little over a month after Rockstar, the developer of the game, delayed its launch to March 27.

"Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC," said Rockstar in a statement. "As a gesture of thanks for your understanding, we will grant anyone who has pre-ordered the game an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in GTA Online."

The news will likely be frustrating to gamers who have been counting down the days until the release of the highly anticipated game.

The PC version of GTA has had a very rough road over the past year or so. In January of 2014 Amazon briefly listed the game for pre-order, with a release date of March 31, 2014. Then, in February, as it was becoming clear that the March release date would not happen, a Czech retailer listed the game with a release date of June 13. In June, Rockstar said that the game would be released "in the Fall" alongside the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 re-releases of the game.

In September Rockstar gave an official date for the game, being Jan. 27. Then, only two weeks before this date, the studio pushed back the date to March 27. Now, once again, the date is being pushed. Only time will tell if the game will actually be released on the new April 14 date.

It seems as though when the game is finally released there might be a few bugs and glitches, despite the time that Rockstar has now had to develop the game.

"As always, we ask for the GTA PC community's understanding and assistance in helping to report any concerns during the early days of launch when those inevitable initial teething issues arise on the new platform," continued the company in its statement.

While gamers will be frustrated at the news, Rockstar has been dealing with the problems in a respectable way. The company has kept gamers in the loop over the past few months, and has offered users who pre-ordered the game gifts, like the $200,000 of in-game cash.
