At the Apple Event today devoted to the launch of the Apple Watch, the tech giant took a moment to announce that HBO Now will be launching exclusively on Apple TV. Alongside this announcement, a brand new, two-minute trailer was shown for Game of Thrones' upcoming Season 5, and boy was it a juicy one.

The new trailer shows much more of the coming season than anything HBO has revealed yet. It looks like Emilia Clarke's Daenerys Targaryen is preparing to bring her army to Westeros, and she makes it clear she has little patience for Westeros' quarreling families that are constantly fighting for possession of the Iron Throne.

And since she's got three giant dragons on her team, Westeros better take cover. Check it out:

As Game of Thrones' production begins its transition into a time when it no longer has George R.R. Martin's books to use as source material (he's got two more books to go and he's in no hurry to deliver them), things are by definition becoming more and more unpredictable for viewers. This trailer shows some of the earliest evidence of this. So buckle up, Thrones fans, things are about to get real.

It ends with an epic shot of Smaug flying off to Laketown. Wait, sorry, different fantasy world...

Season 5 of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO and HBO Now on April 12, 2015.
