Retailers Best Buy and Amazon are gearing up for preorders of Samsung's new flagship smartphones the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge with live dedicated preorder registration pages. Other large retailers like Walmart, Target, Costco and Sam's Club are expected to follow shortly.
With the release of Samsung's latest and greatest smartphones only weeks away, retailers are preparing with preorder registration pages where prospective buyers can sign up for the latest information on the release of the two devices. The pages at best Buy and Amazon have already gone live, and other retailers, such as Walmart, Target, Costco and Sam's Club, will soon be following suit in anticipation of high demand for the new phones.
We recently reported that the preorder registration pages from all five of the major U.S. carriers — Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and U.S. Cellular — have gone live for customers interested in receiving the latest information on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Now, retailers Best Buy and Amazon have live registration pages as well, in addition to Samsung's manufacturer page, which covers general information regarding the phones' availability, release date, pricing and more.
When the phones were revealed on March 1, Samsung also announced that Walmart, Target, Costco and Sam's Club would all be carrying the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, so information pages for those retailers are expected to appear shortly as well.
Registrants for information regarding the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge at Amazon will also receive a bonus. All who sign up for information prior to March 31 will receive a unique coupon code for 10% off on any Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge accessory sold on Amazon's website at a discount of up to $30. No purchase of an actual smartphone is necessary.
The official release date of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge is April 10, and the U.S. release date is rumored to be April 11.
