In an interview at the 2015 Empire Awards, Henry Cavill revealed something quite interesting about Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. What he said shouldn't be deemed as surprising, however, because of course it had to happen.

In the video below, Cavill, who reprises his role as Clark Kent in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, stated that he could not talk much about the fight between the two titans or when he will suit up as Superman again. However, the interviewer did get him to drop a small bit of tidbit.

According to Cavill, Batman and Superman will have a firm handshake before the film comes to an end.

We expected this to happen since both men in the comics and other media became friends and allies with a common goal.

Having them shake hands is a good way to seal the deal as allies, but probably not as friends right away.

We should point out that Cavill did not state this handshake will happen after the fight, so it could be when they first meet as Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne and not as Superman and Batman.

The rumors:

Recent rumors claim Superman is the one who flew to Gotham looking for a fight. He smashes the Batmobile like it's nothing, but there's no word on whether he gave Batman a sound beating. Other rumors have it that the government hates Superman and that the same can be said for several citizens of Metropolis.

Lex Luthor is his chief detractor, and his aim is to turn the alien into an ally or destroy him. It is also claimed that Luthor is working on creating Kryptonite and that Batman, in an effort to keep up with the Man of Steel, breaks into one of Luthor's offices to steal the formula to creating Kryptonite.

Excited moviegoers should bear in mind that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is less than a year away. The film is set to release on March 25, 2016, while the continuation film to the DC Cinematic Universe, Suicide Squad, will hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
