It's been just over a year since Batman: Arkham Knight made its debut, and the wait has been agonizing. The Batman: Arkham games are some of the best ever made, but following two separate delays, Arkham Knight continues to slip through players' fingers. Even now, with only a few months left before release, the wait is torturous...and it just got worse.

As if waiting for the game itself wasn't bad enough, Rocksteady Games and Sony have just announced a Limited Edition Batman: Arkham Knight PlayStation 4 bundle.

Announced via the PlayStation blog, Sony revealed not one, but two separate bundles. The first comes with the custom Batman: Arkham Knight console, a custom DualShock 4 controller and the game itself. A second bundle, which comes with a standard Jet Black PlayStation 4, a controller and the game will also be available at launch.

The best part of the whole story? Fans won't have to sacrifice their kids' college funds just to get their hands on the system: the Limited Edition bundle is only $449. Considering the PlayStation 4 still goes for $400 on its own, you'll actually save a couple bucks by getting everything at once.

Of course, it's not called the Limited Edition console for nothing: don't expect the bundle to stick around forever. If (for whatever reason) you don't want the Arkham Knight PS4, the standard bundle will be priced at $399.

Finally, Sony also announced that PlayStation 4 owners who pick up Batman: Arkham Knight will have early access to all of the game's downloadable content: Batmobile skins, costumes for Batman and extra in-game missions will all hit Sony's console first. There aren't any exact release dates quite yet, and the DLC hasn't been priced, but it's pretty clear that the PlayStation 4 has become the game's lead platform.

While you still won't be able to get your hands on Batman: Arkham Knight until June 23, you can still preorder the Limited Edition Steel Grey console from Sony's official store.
