Verizon Wireless is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The device is Samsung's current flagship tablet and will sell for $599 when signing a new 2-year contract.

Samsung has a knack for taking one of its products and spinning them off into different devices. When the company decided to launch the first phablet in 2011 with the Samsung Galaxy Note, the S Pen became a major feature and reason to buy a Galaxy Note device. Consumer's response to the S Pen was great, so Samsung decided to bring the S Pen to its tablet line and instantly had both Galaxy tablets and Galaxy Note tablets. It's also another way the company is chipping away at Apple's iPad dominance.

Samsung and Verizon have announced that the flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 Edition is now available from the carrier online and in retail stores.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition features a 10.1-inch Super Clear LCD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a pixel density of 299 pixels per inch (ppi). The tablet runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It's powered by a top of the line 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and packs in 3GB of RAM to provide a fast and fluid user experience.

Its camera capabilities include an 8-megapixel rear camera that can record 1080p Full HD video and it's also packing a 2-megapixel front facing shooter for video chat. The Galaxy Note 10.1 ships with 32GB of internal storage along with a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (Low Energy), GPS, NFC, and IR blaster to be used with its built-in WatchOn program guide. The tablet ships with enhanced S Pen functionality and a large 8220 mAh battery that will provide up to 15 hours of continuous use and 22.3 days of standby time. Its dimensions are 9.6" (H) x 6.8"(W) x .31" (D) and it weighs in at 1.19 lbs.

Verizon is offering the Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 Edition for $599.99 when signing a new 2-year contract or $699.99 full price.
