The Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are set to be released on April 10, and carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile and retailers such as Best Buy are already offering customers sales and deals on the new handsets.

Verizon is offering two separate deals, which can save buyers up to $300 when combined. First, the carrier is offering credits when trading in any working smartphone. Customers will receive $100 or more when trading in any smartphone, $150 when trading in a Samsung Galaxy S4 or $200 when trading in a Samsung Galaxy S5. The credits come in the form of a Verizon Wireless gift card that can be used toward your purchase of the phone or toward your bill.

Verizon is also offering a $100 bill credit for each smartphone line you switch to Verizon from another carrier. This offer is good only if you activate your new phone on the Verizon Edge plan, the monthly installment plan that ends up costing much more in the long run than buying the phone outright. If you can pay for your new Samsung Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge upfront, especially if you are taking advantage of the above trade in deal, we recommend doing so. However, if you planned on a monthly installment plan anyway, the $100 credit will help offset some of the extra cost.

T-Mobile customers are being offered a different kind of sale on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Instead of receiving a discount, consumers will receive a free year of Netflix, worth over $100. The offer is good for new and existing Netflix customers and is available to the first 92,000 eligible buyers that apply.

Best Buy is offering something else free — a wireless charger that can be used with either smartphone. The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge both support wireless charging, and Best Buy customers will get a $59.99 wireless charging pad for free with their purchase.
