LG G3 owners have been reporting problems with their smartphones after updating to Android 5.0 Lollipop, including battery drain, slow charging, Wi-Fi issues and other bugs.

LG is busy preparing to unveil its newest flagship smartphone, the G4, on April 28, but some users of the current flagship G3 smartphone are not happy since receiving 5.0 Lollipop, the latest Android OS.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update was released first by AT&T in February, and it has now been pushed out by most major U.S carriers. T-Mobile recently released the update to users of the smartphone on its network.

Some users are reporting improvements on their phones and are happy with the update. Others, however, are having significant performance issues. Internet forums and comment sections are filled with LG G3 owners who are experiencing battery drain issues when running the new OS. Users also state that their phones are taking much longer to charge than they did before the update to the new Lollipop OS.

Others complain that their Wi-Fi is extremely slow or that certain functions on their smartphone, such as notifications, don't work properly when running the device on Wi-Fi. Other issues include being unable to use certain apps and loss of contacts.

In some cases, these problems can be solved or improved by performing a factory reset on the phone, which many users of various smartphones and phablets that have been upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop recommend as a good way to solve various upgrade issues.

LG G3 owners are hoping that their carriers will address these issues via further updates, and it looks as though Verizon may be readying one for imminent release. Are you experiencing any issues or problems with your LG G3, or are you happy with the update? Let us know in the comments below.
