How long can you go without using your cell phone or any social media?

LeBron James hopes to go without using his cell or any social media until late June. That's because King James is following his tradition of turning off his phones and avoiding social media for the duration of the NBA playoffs. Doing both until late June would signal an NBA championship run for James's Cleveland Cavaliers.

In going through the self-inflicted cell and social media blackout, James was completely unaware of Miami Heat president Pat Riley's reported subliminal shot toward him Monday. According to ESPN, Riley told reporters that there were "no more smiling faces with hidden agendas" that could affect the Heat organization's future transactions.

Of course, James left Cleveland in 2010 to join Miami, where he played from 2010-14 and won two championships (2012-13), before returning to the Cavs last summer.

When informed Tuesday of Riley's statement, James didn't pay it any mind. Instead, he's placing all his focus on Tuesday night's Game 2 of the Cavs' first-round series with the Boston Celtics.

"I don't care about nonsense," James told ESPN. "There's too much nonsense out there. This is a time where I lock in right now and I don't need nothing creeping into my mind for no reason that don't need to be there. I put all my energy and effort toward this team, that's all that matters."

He went on to explain how seriously he takes his postseason cell and social media shutdown.

"I don't have no forms of communication, so I don't have no phones, I don't have no social media or anything, so I don't know what's going on out in the world right now besides what people tell me," James said. "I guess you guys just keep me informed and I appreciate it."

Now, that's dedication.
