Just in time for the NBA playoffs, NBA 2K15 will be free from April 24 to April 27 for gold subscribers who own an Xbox One.

Players can download and play the latest in 2K's basketball simulation in its entirety for free this weekend only. Better yet, should you decide to purchase the game after the free weekend is up, all of your achievements and in-game progress will carry over.

There will be a number of sales to help you out as well should you decide to pick up the game. During the weekend the NBA 2K15 promo bundle, which includes a copy of the game as well as15,000 VC (virtual currency) used for the game's MyPLAYER and MyTEAM modes, will be 40 percent off. The bundle normally retails for $65, but will be marked down to roughly $40.

All NBA 2K15 VC will be on sale for 33 percent off for the duration of the weekend.

The game recently predicted the Golden State Warriors will come out on top during this year's playoffs, claiming the franchise's first title since 1975. If the world's premier basketball simulator is accurate, the Warriors will battle it out with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the championship, with the Warriors eventually coming out on top with a 4-2 series win.

But you don't have to take our word for it. If you have Xbox Live Gold and an Xbox One, you can simulate the playoffs yourself by taking NBA 2K15 for a spin.
