Constantine showrunners David Goyer and Daniel Cerone have revealed some of the things they would love to bring to the series should NBC renew the show for a second season.

The duo showed that if they had the chance to continue on with season 1, they would have done an arc that took place entirely in the lake house. From what was said on Twitter, if NBC picks it up for a second season, this arc will no doubt play out one way or the other.

There were also plans to introduce Doctor Fate, Spectre, Phantom Strange and The Demon. We've seen Jim Corrigan, the man who will become Spectre, in several episodes of Constantine, and we even get a slight chance to see how he might look should the writers get to explore the character further.

When it comes down to Doctor Fate, we have seen the mask, but nothing else. We can't say anything regarding Phantom Strange and The Demon at the moment, but we hope NBC green lights season 2 so the writers can bring these characters to life.

It is essential that these characters become a reality because the road could be paved to give either one their own TV show down the line. We should point out that Spectre was once pegged to get his own series, but that cannot happen unless Constantine is a success story.

Spectre is a police officer who was killed while on duty. He awoke as the spirit of vengeance and would seek out those who have done wrongs. He's an intriguing character in the comics, so we are certain he has the merit to carry a TV show all by himself.

At the moment, Goyer and Cerone are hoping to convince NBC to run with a second season of Constantine. The first season was cut short due to disappointing ratings. The season ended on a high, however, which is the reason there's a slight chance of season 2 happening.
