LG's latest flagship, the G4, is due for a global rollout on April 29, close on the heels of Samsung's Galaxy S6 flagship hitting the shelves last April 10.

The two Android smartphones are poised to give Apple's iPhone 6 a run for its money. Here's a look at how the three flagships stack up against each other.

Dimensions

The LG G4 measures 5.86 x 3.00 x 0.39 inches; the Galaxy S6 has dimensions of 5.65 x 2.78 x 0.27 inches; and the iPhone 6 measures 5.44 x 2.64 x 0.27 inches. The G4 is the tallest and widest followed by the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6.

When it comes to sleekness, the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 are at par at 0.27 inches thick. The LG G4 is slightly thicker than the two at 0.39 inches.

In terms of weight, the LG G4 smartphone is the heaviest at 5.4 ounces, followed by the Galaxy S6 at 4.8 ounces. At 4.55 ounces, the iPhone 6 is the lightest of the three.

Display

The LG G4 sports a 5.5-inch QuadHD display with an IPS Quantum display. The Quantum panel supposedly gives a superior color accuracy. The resolution is 2560 x 1440 pixels.

By comparison, the Galaxy S6 touts a smaller 5.1-inch QHD sAMOLED screen with a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The iPhone 6 has the smallest screen size of the three: a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with IPS technology and a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels.

Pixel density wise, the Galaxy S6 fares the best with 557ppi, followed by the LG G4 with 534ppi and iPhone 6 with 326ppi.

Processor and Memory

The LG G4 packs in a hexa-core (dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57 and quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53) Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor.

The Galaxy S6 houses a Samsung Exynos 7420 octa-core processor (quad-core 2.1GHz + quad-core 1.5 GHz).

By comparison, the iPhone 6 packs in the 64-bit A8 dual-core processor, which reportedly clocks in at 1.4GHz.

Which processor of the three smartphones has maximum juice, however, can be determined after the benchmark tests once the LG G4 makes its way to consumers.

Memory-wise, the LG G4 will only be available in the 32GB option. By comparison, the Galaxy S6 comes in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB on-board storage options. The iPhone 6 is available in 16B, 64GB and 128GB options.

However, both the Samsung and Apple smartphones do not have an expandable memory option whereas the LG G4's memory can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Both the LG G4 and Galaxy S6 have 3GB of RAM, whereas the iPhone 6 is said to have 1GB of RAM.

Battery

The Galaxy S6 houses a non-removable 2,550mAh battery with wireless charging support. Charging the phone's battery for just 10 minutes will give up to 4 hours of use thanks to the device's fast charge feature.

The LG G4 has a bigger removable 3,000mAH battery but it does not support wireless charging. It offers support for up to 10 hours of talk time. The iPhone 6 has a 6.9 Watt hour battery (equivalent to 1,810mAh) but it does not have wireless charging. It offers up to 14 hours of use.

OS

The LG G4 comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, whereas the Galaxy S6 runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop. The iPhone 6 comes with iOS 8 out of the box.

Camera

The Galaxy S6 houses a 16MP primary camera with an F1.9 lens. The LG G4 too has a 16MP rear-facing snapper, but with an F1.8 lens. The iPhone 6, by comparison, has an 8MP iSight camera with F2.2 lens.

Just like the iPhone 6, the LG G4's camera is capable of simultaneous video and image recording. All three smartphones have HDR, geo tagging and face detection.

The LG G4 sports an 8MP front-facing camera that bests the 5MP one on the Galaxy S6 and 1.2MP one on the iPhone 6.

Also, the LG G4 edges out the iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6 both in the selfie and primary camera stakes.

Availability, Colors & Price

The LG G4 is available in several hues in a leather or ceramic back finish. Ceramic finish colors include Metallic Gray, Ceramic White, Shiny Gold and the genuine leather finish comes in brown, black, red, beige, sky blue and yellow. The global rollout starts April 29. LG is yet to announce the pricing.

The Galaxy S6 comes in four hues: White Pearl, Black Sapphire, Gold Platinum and Blue Topaz. It hit U.S. shelves on April 10 and the unlocked version costs $599.99 (32GB), $699.99 (64GB) and $799.99 (128GB).

The iPhone 6 is available in three colors (silver, gold and space gray) and costs $649, $749 and $849 for the 16B, 64GB and 128GB versions, respectively.
