Bill Nye seems to be the go-to expert on anything remotely scientific these days, so it's no surprise that Inside Amy Schumer would call on the "Science Guy" to explain how the universe works during Tuesday night's episode.

Much of what occurs in the universe still remains a mystery, although scientists eventually settled on the idea that the universe is a big, crazy cluster of matter. However, on Inside Amy Schumer, Nye shows how that may not be all that the universe is good for.

In fact, the universe works more like "a force sending cosmic guidance to white women in their 20s," Nye says in the clip. He even gets some help in demonstrating this concept from Schumer, Broad City's Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer and actress Amber Tamblyn.

So whether you're worried that your boss won't leave his wife to be with you, are hoping for an apricot puggle or want to start a mitten company, the universe is always there to drop little clues that will help steer you in the right direction or tell you whether or not your wildest dreams are going to come true. Think of the universe as "a giant dream board where women pin their wishes," as Nye describes it.

Oh, so that's what the universe is all about. Thanks for clearing that up, Nye.
