Sony has always done a good job of rewarding its loyal fans. Back when it was first launched, the PlayStation Plus program was unlike anything else on the market: for a monthly fee, players would be able to download a wide variety of free games, and members were given access to exclusive deals and sales. Sure, the PlayStation 4 requires PlayStation Plus for multiplayer, but even now, many users swear by Sony's online subscription.

However, there's never been anything that's truly PlayStation Plus-exclusive, save for the free games. Yes, members receive bigger discounts during sales, but it's not as if the sales themselves are reserved for Plus members only.

That's about to change: while Sony will still be hosting regular PlayStation sales on a regular basis, the PlayStation Plus Specials are special discounts and promotions reserved only for PS Plus members. The first round of PlayStation Plus Specials went online yesterday - and if they're any indication of what's to come, PS Plus members now have another reason to praise Sony's program.

Bloodborne, The Order: 1886 and Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin lead the first round of sales, though it's not as if the PlayStation Plus Specials are limited solely to Sony's latest console. There are plenty of PS3 and PS Vita games on sale, meaning that those who have yet to upgrade won't be left hanging.

The full first round of PlayStation Specials is as follows:

Atelier Ayesha Plus: The Alchemist Of Dusk (PS Vita) $27.99
 Bloodborne (PS4) $47.99
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare Bundle (PS3) $11.24
Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin (PS3) $31.99
Dark Souls II: Scholar Of The First Sin (PS4) $47.99
 Dragon Ball Xenoverse PS+ Bundle (PS3) $44.99
 Dragon Ball Xenoverse PS+ Bundle (PS4) $53.99
 Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires (PS3) $27.99
Helldivers Turning Up The Heat Edition (PS3, PS4, PS Vita) $17.99
Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart (PS Vita) $27.99
 The Order: 1886 (PS4) $47.99
Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines Bundle (PS Vita) $14.99

Considering how recent some of these titles are, it's impressive that Sony has discounted them as much as they have. For PS Plus members, the PlayStation Plus Specials could be a great sign of thigns to come - hopefully, future deals can live up the first round of Sony's exclusive sales.
