If you've ever wondered what a cyberpunk post-apocalyptic video game might look like, you're in luck — thanks to these new screenshots released of upcoming Spider Studios and Focus Home Interactive title The Technomancer.

Set on Mars, the game takes you through this world through the eyes of a technomancer, who starts questioning his existence after his past begins threatening his future.

The Technomancer is an RPG that also offers action-based combat, allowing players to customize their skills by using three distinct fighting styles, as well as a form of magic based on electricity. Players will also make choices in dialogue that change the story as they play, they can craft weapons and armor, and even recruit and start relationships with NPCs.

"On the run from the Secret Police and confronted by the harsh realities of the Red Planet, you must undertake a quest that takes you through forgotten paradises, cities lost under the ice, and dystopian shanties sprawled across Mars' dusty embrace," Spider Studios said in a press release. "Faced with the cruelty of Mars' iron fist enforcers and alien wildlife, can you survive long enough to uncover the truth behind The Technomancer?"

The newly released screenshots show the technomancer and his companions arriving at Noctis, which is one of the last strongholds of civilization on the red planet. Although Noctis is relatively civilized, it still holds dangers for the technomancer, including bandits and pillagers — along with other terrifying creatures.

"Noctis is one of the last bastions of civilization on Mars and one of the many locations you will get to explore during your adventure," Spider Studios continued in the press release. "A 'free city' which isolated itself from the War of Water but which still holds great dangers such as bandits, scavengers and dangerous creatures that you'll have to face and beat for your life."

The Technomancer hits retail and online stores in 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Spider Studios and Focus Home Interactive plan on showing off more details from the game at this year's E3 convention.
