The LG G4 will soon be making its way to smartphone fans in the U.S. Verizon is one of the last major U.S. carriers to announce its G4 release date and special offers.

LG is preparing to go head-to-head with Apple, Samsung, HTC, Google and Motorola in the high-end smartphone market with its new G4 smartphone. We've been keeping tabs on the handset and recently reported that the Verizon and Sprint variants passed through the FCC ahead of release.

T-Mobile and Sprint were among the first carriers to officially announce preorders, release dates, pricing information and special offers. T-Mobile has already begun taking preorders for the LG G4 for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $24.99, or $599.76 full price. The carrier is also including a free 128 GB microSD card with the device and will ship the LG G4 to online orders ahead of its June 3 release in retail stores.

Sprint also made its LG G4 release intentions clear and has announced that the smartphone will be available to purchase online and in retail stores beginning on June 5.

We recently reported that Verizon appeared to leak its LG G4 release date via an image of the smartphone's lock screen, which seemed to imply the device would be available on June 4. It turns out that June 4 is indeed the day Verizon will release its LG G4 variant, as the carrier has made it official. It is now taking preorders for the LG G4 and is also releasing the LG G Pad X8.3 tablet on the same day and is offering some great promotions.

Verizon states on its website: "For a limited time, the following two promotions will be available for these devices.

- Purchase an LG G4 and get a[n] LG G Pad X8.3 for $49.99 (normally $129.99 with two-year activation), a[n] LG G Pad 10.1 for $99.99 (normally $149.99 with two-year activation) or an LG Watch Urbane smartwatch for $299.99 [with] new two-year activation required per device.
