If you recently purchased the LG G4 and want to change up the look and feel of the smartphone, LG has got you covered. For a limited time the company is offering a "buy one genuine leather back cover, get one free" promotion. A cover retails for $69.99.

Smartphone makers have begun to realize that the build and feel of a device is just as important as the specs and OS powering the device. Apple started the trend when it debuted the original iPhone with its signature aluminum case and multitouch glass display. The company chose to swap out aluminum for an all-plastic build when it launched the iPhone 3G because it didn't interfere with the radios inside and allowed for faster data downloads. The company hasn't shipped a flagship smartphone with a plastic case since the iPhone 3GS in 2009.

Android smartphone manufacturers have generally focused on using more powerful specs and hardware in their latest and greatest devices when compared to Apple's iPhones. HTC stepped it up in 2013 when it gave its HTC One a unibody aluminum case that the company boasted took over 200 minutes of precision cutting to achieve its great-in-the-hand feel, from its curved back to its chamfered and polished edges.

Samsung finally got the memo and joined the premium smartphone build with the release of its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, which have a metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 front and back.

LG, on the other hand, just began selling its new flagship LG G4, and it has also focused on the look and feel of the smartphone as much as the hardware driving it.

LG is going for a more stylish look by using premium genuine leather as an option for the rear case of the LG G4. LG claims it takes 12 weeks to produce the high-quality covers. The G4 not only looks great with the premium cover; it also feels great.

For a limited time LG is offering LG G4 owners an opportunity to get two genuine leather back covers for the price of one. This is a limited time deal and is only valid until June 30.
