Conspiracy theorists have a knack for regarding the simplest occurrence with suspicion, but nothing will probably be treated with more skepticism than what appears to be a photograph of two UFOs above Loch Ness, allegedly Nessie's home.

Even Alan Betts couldn't believe what his family photos had captured during their vacation in the Scottish Highlands. He was on a holiday with Anna, his wife, and her parents when the photo was taken, but it wasn't until they got back home in York, in England's North Yorkshire area, that they discovered the curious snapshot.

According to Alan, Tatiana, Anna's mother, took the photograph, but she, too, did not know what she had caught when she decided to step outside and capture a general picture of the landscape.

The travelers recounted that the day had started out uneventful, a perfect day to enjoy by the loch, but after a day out the weather changed suddenly. Even their dog Yuka was making a fuss during the evening. The Akita never barks, but Alan remembered the group was laughing at the dog, joking that he was unsettled because he saw Nessie when he was looking out the window of their cottage and barking at the sky.

Tatiana had decided to take a photograph because they had not seen the scenery change that quickly.

Their vacation photos were taken using a digital camera so it wasn't until Alan and Anna were home that they were able to take a closer look. Viewing their pictures on their computer, they spotted the objects over Loch Ness and zoomed in, the better resolution on their PC screen giving them a clearer look.

Alan and Anna were shocked at what they saw, and were not able to offer a reasonable explanation for the objects in the photo.

"I just can't explain what it is. I know what it looks like, though," said Alan.

The two then went on to show the pictures to Tatiana and Anna's father and they, too, were shocked, most especially Anna's father, who Alan said was more skeptical than him in general.

Loch Ness is a deep freshwater lake in the Scottish Highlands, southwest of Inverness in the Highlands. It is best known for being the location of alleged sightings of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, which was first brought to the attention of the world in 1933. Loch Ness is the second largest and deepest lake in Scotland.
