Chinese website, MyDrivers, has reported that OnePlus 2 will have a July launch and that the initial price will be 1,999 Chinese Yuan or around $322 based on the current exchange rates.

OnePlus One has already hit its first year anniversary, and OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei admitted in 2014 that the company's follow-up to its flagship smartphone may be launched around the second to third quarter of this year.

Although there is no official date yet, MyDrivers' Chinese sources have strong reason to believe the news of a July release for the OnePlus 2. The website has even displayed a teaser poster.

The OnePlus 2 may be launching at a global price of $350 and will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM with a 3,300 mAh battery. OnePlus 2 will also be sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p screen display and a 13-megapixel rear camera. It will be booting the company's in-house developed Android Lollipop 5.1-based OxygenOS out of the box.

Last year, OnePlus One had a starting price of $300 for the 16GB variant and $350 for its 64GB version. If the pricing rumor proves to be accurate, the global price of $350 will be $100 more than the current OnePlus One price and $50 above the company's original smartphone's launching price.

OnePlus has been advertising its upcoming OnePlus 2 through a couple of promotions.

The first is the "Photo Mania 2015" contest, which OnePlus declared will be an annual event. To enter the photo competition, one should submit their best captured entry, which should be without any filters or editing, through a dedicated form, or post it on OnePlus's official Instagram, together with a caption about how the picture was taken, including information such as the lighting and settings used.

The second contest is titled "Your OnePlus Story." To enter, one will have to create a video story about OnePlus and the user. OnePlus is searching for the most creative and passionate fans with their stories and expectations for its next smartphone. With the deadline for both contests in June 2015, many are competing to win the grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to the OnePlus headquarters in Hong Kong and be part of the OnePlus 2 launch.
