Remember those Batman v. Superman pictures published by Entertainment Weekly last week? They were some of the best images yet to come from the highly anticipated production, but they were frustratingly low-resolution.

Today Warner Bros. has released the high-res versions and they look great. The higher resolution gives a much better look at details and textures.

Here's Warner Bros.' official plot description for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

The first is the money shot: Batman versus Superman in what's sure to be their setpiece fight scene. The higher resolution really lets you see the existing scars and marks on Batman's armor. This fight must not be the first time he's used that suit.

Some who've seen this next image of Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) at a formal event believe that they're dancing in the photo. We're not so sure.

Jesse Eisenberg plays Lex Luthor. The actor shaved his head for the role, so he's wearing a wig here. It looks brown in the pic, but it's most likely red. (Lex's hair was famously red before he went bald.) The setting is most likely Lex's mansion. That painting on the wall behind him is evocative of Icarus.

This scene was in the teaser trailer. It seems to depict people worshipping Superman (Henry Cavill). It looks like it's happening at a Mexican Day of the Dead celebration.

Lastly, here's Batman in his heavy armor, in the same scene where he faces off against Superman. We're guessing the Bat-signal is how he gets Superman's attention prior to the duel.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice arrives March 25, 2016. Stay tuned for updates from San Diego Comic-Con, where the movie is expected to have a huge presence.
