Things that go bump in the night come to glorious big-screen life with the unveiling of the teaser trailer for R.L. Stine's Goosebumps. And as a child who grew up in the '90's, it's absolutely full of happy memories of late-night reading under the covers, scaring myself with Stine's freaky, creepy, scary stories.

The casting of Jack Black as beloved author R.L. Stine leaves something to be desired, but hey, if this trailer is any indication, any qualms we had will go completely out the window as we '90s kids are re-introduced to our favorite Stine monsters and a new generation of kids will be introduced to them.

The movie, which is set to be released in theaters aptly on Halloween 2015, follows Zach and his mother moving to a small town in the middle of nowhere, where his mother got a new job as vice principal.

Zach meets his neighbor, Hannah, whose father, Stine, is wary of strangers and the outside world in general. The grumpy writer tells Zach sternly to stay on the other side of the fence.

Zach and Hannah, however, still struck up a friendship. And one night when Zach heard screams coming from Hannah's house, he immediately rushed to her rescue. Zach, with another friend he made in town, sneaks in over the fence and into the house where they discovered a shelf full of locked Goosebumps manuscripts.

And what horror movie wouldn't be complete without some teenager unlocking a mysterious locked book that they obviously should not be touching in the first place?

Hannah and her father found the teenage boys with the open book and immediately knew that trouble was about to happen. The book's words start to come to life and the monster within is unleashed to wreak havoc upon the world.

The four must now go on a mission to track down all of Stine's monsters and suck them back into the books where they can do no harm.

Using the knowledge they attained from reading Stine's scary novels as kids, the teenagers hunt down the monsters using their weaknesses and set traps all over town and their school.

Readers of the book will be reacquainted with the Abominable Snowman, the Invisible Boy, the army of Garden Gnomes, and many other of Stine's classic monsters that had us up all night long.
