We were so happy that no one watched VHS tapes anymore when The Ring came out in 2002.
Imagine the anticipation you would have to go through each time you wanted to watch a movie, praying that no dead girls would come through the TV?
To this day the thriller continues to haunt us. Each time the movie ends, we nervously lean an ear towards the phone and pray that it never rings.
Even though the plot about a videotape causing death seven days after watching is a bit cheesy, just one look at that terrifying girl that comes out of the well was enough to give us goosebumps.
Samara Morgan was the creepy character in The Ring that was banished to the barn where the horses would keep her up at night. She eventually was murdered by her mother, and was dumped into a well.
We all know Samara as the devilish-looking kid with the long, jet-black hair out who has the paranormal ability to climb out a well and onto your couch by coming through the television.
While we will never be able to get that nightmarish image of her out of our heads, that terrifying girl from The Ring is surprisingly gorgeous now.
Daveigh Chase, the actress who played Samara, is making headlines after the internet realized she is actually an attractive woman. Now 24-years-old, Chase is sharing what she looked like now on her Instagram which has over 20,000 followers.
She is also showing the internet who she really is through her Tumblr blog, but seems to post more regularly on her Instagram. Chase's Instagram account features selfies that show off her gorgeous blue eyes, and her sense of style.

Even though the real-life Samara isn’t so scary, we will always be terrified of her role in The Ring. Next time you put the movie on DVD, make sure you look for the hidden Easter Egg. After you watch the movie, in the Main Menu, highlight the "Don't watch this," and press the Down directional arrow twice. The pointer will magically disappear. Once this happens, hit Select on your remote. Then sit back and enjoy.
