Rapper M.I.A. is set to join the ranks of Drake, Eminem and Pharrell Williams on Apple Music. How? The new music streaming service from Apple is set to release the UK-based artiste's "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than A Border" in a few days from now.

Come July 13, M.I.A.'s "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border" will be released on Apple Music.

The news comes courtesy of Pitchfork, which is also an Apple Music Curation Partner. On July 10, Apple Music debuted Drake's latest music video "Energy" from his current album "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" as an exclusive. In the past, Apple also exclusively debuted videos of "Freedom" and "Phenomenal" from Pharell Williams and Eminem, respectively. With M.I.A's "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than A Border" video eyeing a July 13 release on Apple Music, the rapper will be in the same league.

What's more, per Pitchfork, the music videos are likely developed by Apple in-house.

"The launch of Apple Music hasn't only included a new radio station, social network, and streaming service. Apple have also started creating their own original content. The company made Drake's amazing "Energy" video in-house, as well as Pharrell's "Freedom" and Eminem's "Phenomenal"," notes Pitchfork.

For the unfamiliar, M.I.A's "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border" is a two-song release by the artiste and is accompanied by a short movie that features music from the rapper's impending album. The music video has reportedly been under works prior to May when she hinted that her record label was delaying the Matahdatah music video owing to the probable controversy surrounding its content - how African culture was depicted.

Apple Music has also confirmed the release of "Matahdatah Scroll 01 Broader Than a Border" on July 13 via a tweet.

Reportedly, Apple Music also has projects in the pipeline with artistes like James Bay, Purity Ring, and Diddy. Apple Music's head of content Larry Jackson responded to the rumor with the following tweet.
